What can I do to deter bears?	California Department of Fish and Wildlife no longer relocates wildlife (Bears or mountain lions) because they have found that the animal could potentially starve to death in their new home or they may be hit by cars trying to return to their original destination. Some useful suggestions for dealing with bears and mountain lions: • The use of electric fences to deter wild animals from domestic animals • The use of rags soaked in bleach or ammonia in trash cans • Ordering a “bear can” from El Dorado County Disposal to prevent garbage can breaches • Purchasing a bullhorn to deter bears as they hate loud noises You can find free applications that operate as an air horn for your mobile device to protect you while walking at night. Why do we have to create an account, we didn't have to do that on the old site?	On the new SFR HOA site, we have created multiple web applications where non-public information may reside such as gate codes within the FAQ. As such, we need to ensure that a user is unique and we don't accidentally allow logins from anonymous individuals. The best practice is to have unique logins vs. a community wide login that has to change every year/time someone leaves the development.
